A Dreamy Family Home

A beautiful young family found their dream home perfectly situated on a mature lot just a short walk from Assiniboine Park - but as ideal as it was, there were some spaces in their new home that required a refresh. 

The homeowners approached us with a desire to renovate their principal ensuite, the main bath for their young daughters and to update a few features in their kitchen. 

Their desire was to get started within a few short months, so we knew we had a quick turn around time to help them plan their space and select product.  

During our first few meetings, we got a sense and scope of the project, discussed fixtures and finishes, came up with a floor plan, and left each meeting with an appreciation for exceptionally decisive clients and how easy they were to work with!

The kitchen already had beautiful proportions and was flooded with gorgeous natural light, but was feeling a bit dark and dated.  Staying true to the traditional structure of the home, vintage tile, plumbing fixtures, apron sink and stone countertops were added to the shaker inspired space. Our new design included a custom island with storage solutions, ample counter space and seating.

To achieve the desired ensuite bath, custom walk-in closet, and dressing room, the existing walls were removed and a new open concept was created.

As the clients are frequent travellers, their desire was to have a serene space that felt like a private suite to unwind in at the end of the day.  Complete with custom shower, freestanding tub and double vanity, the bathroom now has an adjoining walk-in closet space and dressing room with ample storage!

The main bath was recreated for two young daughters using timeless materials.  A glass shower, oval tub, stone countertops and pendant lighting were made complete with whimsical wallpaper and tile!

Having a trusted team of contractors and rockstar clients such as these allowed us to see their vision and execute a detailed plan to create a home they love.
